Da Jiao Ma Huang Hou 大脚马皇后

Description:

After the fall of the Yuan dynasty, following fifteen years of campaigns and conquests, the rebel hero Zhu Yuan-Zhang (Tang Guo-Qiang) finally defeated his last formidable rival, Zhang Shi-Cheng, and in the impregnable Yingtian Prefecture founded the mighty empire of the Great Ming. In those years Liu Bo-Wen, Chang Yu-Chun, Xu Da and other founding generals naturally rendered invaluable service, but it was the big-footed Empress Ma Xiu-Ying (Lu Li-Ping) who played a role not to be overlooked in the rise of the Zhu dynasty. Yet the realm had only just been pacified, and the currents of chaos ran swift: Zhang Shi-Cheng's daughter, the surviving heirs of the Yuan, the powerful chancellor Hu Wei-Yong and other forces and figures threatened Zhu Yuan-Zhang's rule and his very life at every moment. The blunt and headstrong Zhu Yuan-Zhang could not always perceive the ambitions and conspiracies brewing in the shadows, but the Empress Ma, a woman of meticulous mind, maneuvered among them and defused countless crises.
