Return Shanghai Beach 重返上海滩

Description:

Years ago, Bi Fan made a name for himself on Shanghai Beach with his extraordinary martial skills. In countless life-and-death battles among rival gangs, he and Du Bang, who had thrown in his lot with him, became sworn friends ready to die for each other. Little did he know that Du Bang had long been in league with underworld boss Tan Shi-Jie. The two staged an elaborate, cruel chain of schemes and, using Bi Fan's hand, eliminated Hu Wan-Long, chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, seizing dominance over Shanghai Beach in one stroke. Bi Fan's newlywed wife, Xue-Ru, accidentally saw through Du Bang's true face and was poisoned for it! Unaware of the truth, Bi Fan survived several attempts on his life, was gravely wounded, and was forced to flee far away…
Ten years later, Du Bang has become the Chinese chief inspector of the police department and, hand in glove with Tan Shi-Jie, dominates both the lawful and the criminal world! Bi Fan returns under an assumed name. First he cloaks himself in a detective novel that has taken all of Shanghai by storm, so that the dark forces dare not move against him lightly, and then he reopens the Oriental Sherlock Holmes Detective Agency, vowing to take his revenge his own way!
