Suddenly Turn Hostile 变脸

Description:

Teng Hao, head of the finance department of the Dadong Group, is detained by police on the eve of his wedding. A huge sum of 5.95 million yuan has been withdrawn from the company using a transfer cheque, and Teng Hao, who kept the financial seal, is suspected of embezzling the money himself. But police officer Jia Chao-Xi sets his sights on young entrepreneur Shi Zhe-Ming and Teng Hao's close friend Zhuang Hai. Just as the investigation gets underway, Shi Zhe-Ming is burned to death in his car, and Zhuang Hai, suspected of murder, disappears with the swindled money.
Five years later, just as Teng Hao and Shu Xiao-Fan, Shi Zhe-Ming's girlfriend, begin to fall in love, Qi Ming-Xuan, an intellectual returned from abroad, bursts into Shu Xiao-Fan's life. He pursues her without any pretense, and something about his words and manner seems hauntingly familiar to her. Just as Teng Hao picks up the first traces, he falls into a trap carefully laid by Qi Ming-Xuan and is sentenced to death for murder.
Qi Ming-Xuan's career is soaring, and although everyone suspects he is the Shi Zhe-Ming who was killed years ago, no direct evidence can be found. Jia Chao-Xi's search for clues abroad yields little. Chen Han, moved by Teng Hao's spirit, goes undercover in Qi Ming-Xuan's company. When he records a videotape of evidence, Qi Ming-Xuan pushes him from a high building to his death. Shu Xiao-Fan, who loves Teng Hao deeply, pretends she cannot bear the rekindling of his old feelings for Luo Wei and throws herself into Qi Ming-Xuan's arms. Through the sensations of her own body she confirms that Qi Ming-Xuan is Shi Zhe-Ming. Qi Ming-Xuan admits that he killed Zhuang Hai back then, disguised the body as his own charred corpse, then had plastic surgery to look like his childhood friend Qi Ming-Xuan, and killed the real Qi Ming-Xuan.
Through the arduous efforts of Teng Hao and Jia Chao-Xi, the trail of Shi Zhe-Ming's crimes becomes clear. Just as Shi Zhe-Ming is about to flee with the swindled money, Teng Hao appears before him and Shu Xiao-Fan. The dying Shi Zhe-Ming cannot bear the thought of Teng Hao having Shu Xiao-Fan, and turns his gun on her. Teng Hao rushes forward and takes the bullet meant for Shu Xiao-Fan. Smiling, he falls into her arms and, with his last strength, tells her: "Kiss me, my love!" Jia Chao-Xi and his detectives burst into the room and see Shi Zhe-Ming, clutching the face ruined by countless surgeries, howling in agony.
