A story set within the hit reality show "Lucky One." Around the broadcast of the program, a group of young people connected to the show face emotional struggles and life's battles in an interwoven space of the real and virtual worlds, thus unfolding a tale of misplaced genuine feelings and tangled, unpredictable love. The series moves between the real and virtual worlds, so each episode features 15–20 minutes of the virtual world presented by the TV program "Lucky One" and the real-life space during its broadcast. The series is based on the airing schedule of "Lucky One," one episode a day, creating a sense of synchronization. Our protagonist is 25-year-old Latin dance teacher Dai Yu-Tong, at an awkward age. She and game software designer Zhao You-You are a couple about to register their marriage. They could have married peacefully and had children, if not for this "Lucky One" program. In the "Lucky One" TV reality show, Dai Yu-Tong sees Jiang Hai-Bin, whom she accidentally met a month ago, and also catches a glimpse of herself in the preview clips. This sudden TV program changes their lives and destinies, setting off a chain reaction: first of all, it directly affects her wedding date with Zhao You-You. On one hand, Dai Yu-Tong feels deeply guilty toward Zhao You-You; on the other, she herself feels lost and confused. Zhao You-You appears calm, but secretly vows to investigate the matter. In the "Lucky One" program, Jiang Hai-Bin, with his candid and somewhat shy personality, wins the final victory in "capturing her heart" and thus wins a fully furnished one-bedroom apartment. He and his girlfriend Tang Jie decorate and enjoy their new home, and he seems to have already forgotten the girl he met on the show, Dai Yu-Tong. The two start watching the premiere of the program early in their new home, Tang Jie exclaiming loudly, unable to hide her excitement. Two couples watch the program at the same time, but their moods are worlds apart. During the filming of the program, Jiang Hai-Bin and the other three group winners — Guan Wei, Chen Xiao-Yuan, and Wang Zhen-Dong — as well as a deaf-mute girl, He Jing-Jing, forge a bond of friendship. Although filming is complete, everyone deeply cherishes this connection. Inspired and organized by Wang Zhen-Dong, they use their spare time to form the "Starlight" choir. During rehearsals, they pour out their troubles to each other — not so much for the singing as to relieve pressure and loneliness. Wang Zhen-Dong is a music fanatic, his home filled with vinyl records, but he's a fake connoisseur. By day he studies at the music academy and is mocked by classmates; by night he teaches what he just learned, coaching his buddies on vocal exercises. In the "Lucky One" program, Wang Zhen-Dong is Jiang Hai-Bin's final opponent. He concealed his marriage to participate in the show, originally intending to divorce his wife Lv Wen-Yan, whose father is a board chairman. Unexpectedly, Lv Wen-Yan secretly helps the choir's performances. After everyone discovers Lv Wen-Yan's sincerity and charm, they begin helping Wang Zhen-Dong and Lv Wen-Yan reconcile. In the end, Wang Zhen-Dong and Lv Wen-Yan enact a modern version of the story of "marriage first, love later." While secretly investigating, Zhao You-You meets Tang Jie, the director of a gaming website. She decides to help Zhao You-You improve his game software and ultimately helps him find a market for it. Zhao You-You's career also achieves success, with the software selling well. As the program airs, the two couples undergo tests and confusion in their hearts, and subtle changes begin to occur. Tang Jie decides to marry Zhao You-You. Dai Yu-Tong, with Jiang Hai-Bin's assistance, wins the Latin dance championship. At this moment, Jiang Hai-Bin also hopes he can truly fall in love with Dai Yu-Tong. He reveals his true feelings to Tang Jie, but unexpectedly, Dai Yu-Tong does not readily agree to him. The "Lucky One" program ends, but the story that unfolded continues.
