Da Dian Dang 大典当

Description:

"Da Dian Dang" tells a twisting, extraordinary and turbulent tale of battle in the world of business. Beyond showcasing the differing business values of three generations in the 1960s, the series also weaves in a strange and heart-wrenching story of love and hatred. By contrasting honesty, righteousness and kindness in the business world with fraud and cunning, the series prompts viewers to reflect on the true, the good and the beautiful as well as the false, the evil and the ugly in human nature. Because the crew shot on location in Xi'an, the distinctive customs and folkways of Shaanxi, along with its dialect and local traditions, are all on display in the series. It is reported that the series was written by Wei Xiao-Hai and directed by Yi Sha, with famous actors Zhang Yan, Hou Xiang-Ling, Michael Tong Chun-Chung and others in leading roles.
