Description:
Xiao Sa spent ten years caring for his gravely ill mother and sank deep into debt. At his wit's end, he sold his mother's grave to cover the surgery costs — only to discover the plot's price had multiplied tenfold, earning him a tidy profit. Sensing an opportunity, he quit his job. After being beaten and thrown out of a nursing home while trying to sell burial plots, the down-and-out Xiao Sa happened to meet the irrepressible old codger Lao Tan, and the two hit it off immediately, launching a grave-brokerage business together. Show more Xiao Sa's enterprise grew steadily, gradually expanding into cemetery development and helping his hometown village prosper — but this trampled on the interests of the local funeral-industry monopoly, the Zhuque Garden. The boss of Zhuque Garden, who profited from wildly inflated grave prices, threatened the lives of Lao Tan and Xiao Sa's other business partners, forcing Xiao Sa to sell him the cemetery he had developed.
