Po Po Ye Shi Ma 婆婆也是妈

Description:

Real estate agent Ma Ke (Michelle Dong Xuan) is careless, and while taking a taxi she accidentally leaves 100,000 yuan in cash and a signed property contract in the cab. When she realizes what happened, she is frantic with worry. Taxi driver Li Wei-Da (Gavin Gao Yun-Xiang) finds the items and takes the initiative to contact her, returning the money and documents intact. Ma Ke is deeply grateful. Li Wei-Da's widowed mother, Liu Hai-Tang (Liu Li-Li), takes a liking to the pretty Ma Ke and actively encourages Wei-Da to court her. After persistent effort, the two enter the hall of marriage. After the wedding, family tensions gradually surface: both mother-in-law and daughter-in-law are stubborn by nature, and Wei-Da can only try to smooth things over on both sides, afraid to offend either. Wei-Da's older sister, Wei-Ru (Huang Xiao-Lei), is a journalist. While covering a fraud case, she meets Zhou Zhou (Huang Jun-Peng), and after a period of contact the two happily marry. With the sister's marriage, the relationship between Liu Hai-Tang and Ma Ke gradually eases. Later, Liu Hai-Tang finds a new companion.
