Children‘s Wars 儿女的战争

Description:

Old man Liu Jin-Qing's two sons and one daughter are all married with families of their own, and he should be enjoying a peaceful old age, yet at his seventieth birthday banquet a quarrel between his two daughters-in-law sends a surge of rage to his heart, and he suddenly passes away. His will, whose authenticity is impossible to determine, the debts he left behind, and his unregistered companion Zhang Zhang-Lan — this series of problems sets off a chain of upheavals for his three children and three families. The eldest brother Liu Yi is introverted, gloomy and honest, meek and compliant, never possessing the boldness and ability expected of the eldest; his younger brother Liu Fan is refined and gentle-tempered, somewhat timid, and has lost himself for the sake of his wife. Facing upheavals in career, family and marriage, the kind, resourceful yet spirited Liu Yun is pushed onto the stage, turning from passive to active and taking on the responsibility for the Liu family, resolving one tangled and thorny conflict after another in the ever-intensifying family "war" and opening a new chapter in life.
