Description:
Zheng Yu, a section chief of our National Security Bureau, lies on a hospital bed when he receives orders from above: an international spy ring is sending an agent codenamed "Nightingale" to the city to meet a long-embedded sleeper agent known as "the Boss" and hand over stolen telemetry data from our Shenzhou space program. The order is to capture the Boss and break up the spy network. Intelligence reveals that the Boss and Nightingale will make the exchange at exactly seven in the evening at table eight of the Banyan Cafe, and that Nightingale is hiding among the members of the visiting band "Dream Angels." Show more Our security personnel set up tight surveillance around the cafe, but an unexpected sight appears before Zheng Yu: his daughter Zheng Wenwen, who left with her mother eighteen years ago, is now among the members of "Dream Angels," going by the name Su Man-Qing. Could she be Nightingale? Time inches closer, Su Man-Qing walks step by step toward the cafe, and Zheng Yu sinks into agonizing unease. An outdoor performance is cut short by a sudden downpour, and the gaggle of girls from "Dream Angels" tumble laughing into the cafe. At the moment the clock strikes seven, Su Man-Qing smiles and gives the recognition code to the cafe owner Fan Yang, swiftly handing over the intelligence — a moment our side captures at once. Zheng Yu can no longer hold up against his illness and faints.
