Yishi of Distant Land 代课老师

Description:

In a pastoral region lives a Tibetan teacher named Yishi, who has taught for over twenty years as a substitute teacher at a village primary school. He suffers from a leg ailment and a grave illness, yet through his selfless love for the children he has earned everyone's respect. His one cherished dream is to become a true people's teacher.
A boarding school was established in the township, and the students were all transferred there to study, live, and receive a good education. But the substitute teaching point was closed, and Yishi was no longer a substitute teacher — this left him feeling lost and bewildered.
Zhang Zhe, the son of road maintenance worker Zhang Daqiu, ran away from Beijing to skip classes. Zhang Daqiu, called away on emergency repair work, asked Yishi to look after his son Zhang Zhe, hoping Yishi could also teach the playful boy to study.
And so, in the old substitute classroom, the collision of souls between Yishi and Zhang Zhe begins. After many twists and turns, Yishi's sincere care finally opens the door to Zhang Zhe's heart. Even more precious, through respect and encouragement, and his unique way of teaching, he sparks Zhang Zhe's interest in learning.
