Description:
A peasant named Wu Gu, who came to the city to work, out of a momentary greed for a high commission and without knowing the truth, joined his companion in an operation to deliver a huge sum of stolen money for a robbery gang. During the delivery, his companion was killed by the gang's boss to silence him, while Wu Gu, in a panic, snatched the money and fled. The gangsters then chased him, and Wu Gu hid in the home of Li Ke-Yi, a resident of the Liulihe neighborhood. When Li Ke-Yi and his mistress Xiao Sha discovered the huge sum Wu Gu was carrying, they conceived the wicked idea of keeping the money for themselves. Show more Wu Gu demanded it back, was refused, and took the two hostage. The policeman Wang Lin, who had followed Wu Gu, cleverly burst into the apartment. To rescue the hostages and crack the robbery gang behind it all, he eventually joined forces with Wu Gu to draw out the man directing the crimes from behind the scenes — the boss. After a fierce battle of wits and courage against the gang's boss, the criminal gang was finally wiped out completely.
