Description:
The film's plot unfolds along two threads. One follows Feng Da-An, a fisherman of the new generation, who carries on the tough, resilient spirit of the old fisherman Fan Lao-Wei — his fearlessness in the face of hardship and his refusal to back down. Fan Lao-Wei's sense of foreboding, his broad-mindedness, and his wise, decisive way of handling matters all find full expression and further development in Feng Da-An. The other thread follows the twists and turns of love between Fan Lao-Wei's son Fan Er-Mao and Feng Da-An's younger sister Feng Shui-Hua.
