Description:
Based on the inspiring story of Wang Gui-Lan, party secretary of Zheng'er Village in Zheng'an Town, Beizhen City—one of the nation's ten most beautiful "village officials"—the film tells how Comrade Wang Gui-Lan devoted over thirty years to her rural hometown, making it her mission to lift it out of poverty and backwardness. Even after being diagnosed with leukemia, she kept leading a village burdened by 370,000 yuan in debt onto the road to prosperity. The film vividly portrays a loyal, clean, and responsible grassroots female official. Show more It also incorporates Liaoning's distinctive regional folk art of paper-cutting "Momo figures" and other expressive techniques, using a high-tech blend of animation, special effects, and aerial photography to enhance the visual impact and expressive power.
