Growing up in the palace, Shangguan Wan-Er endured countless hardships, yet under her mother's careful guidance she blossomed into a beautiful and talented young woman. Show more By chance she caught the eye of Wu Ze-Tian, and after many trials she became Wu Ze-Tian's trusted right hand. During this time, Shangguan Wan-Er fell in love with the chancellor's son Pei Chong-Guang, and together they wrote a love story of twists and turns, bound in life and death. When Wu Ze-Tian usurped the Tang throne and favored cruel officials, Shangguan Wan-Er took it upon herself to uphold the realm and bring prosperity to the people.
