Description:
After graduating from university, unemployed young man Wang Chun-Sheng idles his days away, dreaming only of forming a rock band and becoming a music superstar, yet he meets with setback after setback. His shiftless, unambitious attitude worries his father, Wang Jian-Guo, and the two are constantly at odds, until the conflict lands Wang Jian-Guo in the hospital, gravely ill. To keep his father from worrying, Wang Chun-Sheng has no choice but to take over the restaurant his father painstakingly built. Show more But his half-hearted approach sends the restaurant's business plummeting, and troubles keep piling up.
While running the restaurant, Wang Chun-Sheng hits on a wild idea: he teams up with the honest, unassuming kitchen hand Liu Yi-Shou, the goofy Zhu An-Hao who is obsessed with Phoenix Legend, the waitress Lu Xiao-Meng who studies folk music and works part-time to support herself, and others to form a "rock band." Through their gradual trial and error, the group stumbles through one hilarious "mess" after another, and at last they stand on the stage of a music competition. Though they ultimately lose, the restaurant gains a style all its own because of it, and Wang Chun-Sheng begins to grow, finally understanding the depth of his father's care all along.
