Painting Heart Expert 画心师

Description:

Ren Huan (Audrey Lu) is the last heart-painting master of her lineage. Gu Ze (Qin Li-Yang) is her newest client, a wealthy man willing to pay a high price for Ren Huan to paint the mind of his girlfriend Pei Nie-Er (Ou-Yang Xiao-Qian) and thereby learn the reason for their breakup. But despite their tireless search, they cannot find Pei Nie-Er anywhere. Only after a chance encounter with her does Ren Huan demand that Gu Ze sign a "heart-painting" agreement: he will learn the reason for the breakup only at the cost of forgetting all his love for Pei Nie-Er. With no other choice, Gu Ze signs. At last, through Ren Huan's arrangements, Gu Ze meets his beloved Pei Nie-Er and learns that she broke up with him because her days were numbered, and that she traded three years of her own life to make him forget her. Pei Nie-Er did not want the man she loved to live in sorrow. She dies in Gu Ze's arms, and Ren Huan promises Pei Nie-Er to stay by Gu Ze's side, to repay the three years of life she gave her.
