Description:
This is China's first animated war film with an animal as the protagonist, based on the true story of an elephant that took part in World War II…
The adorable baby elephant Lin Wang lives on the beautiful border between Yunnan and Myanmar, and has forged a deep friendship with his young master — a Chinese boy named Wang Zai.
Lin Wang is quite mischievous: he'll steal delicious food, dance a bottom-wiggling dance to woo the "elephant princess" Miaomiao Dan, and compete with the Thai elephant king for a beauty. Show more But sometimes Lin Wang is also terribly timid and makes a complete fool of himself.
War breaks out! The baby elephant Lin Wang and his young master Wang Zai are captured by a Japanese supply unit and forced into hard labor, enduring endless torment. Together with British and American prisoners of war and fellow elephants from Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia, Lin Wang shares hardships and grows bold and strong, fighting the enemy with wits and courage.
The Chinese Expeditionary Force liberates the area, and Lin Wang and his young master join our army. Lin Wang is always getting into trouble, causing endless laughs, but he matures in battle and overcomes his fear of explosions. At a critical moment in a fierce battle, the baby elephant Lin Wang, with the divine skill only an elephant possesses, helps our army wipe out the stubborn enemy completely and is awarded the rank of second lieutenant…
Lin Wang is sent to settle in Taiwan as a mascot for the victory in the War of Resistance. Half a century passes, and the aged "Grandpa Lin Wang" has grown very weak. Day and night he longs for his childhood friend Wang Zai.
