Description:
The film tells the story of policewoman Gerile, a top graduate of the police academy and a master of sanda. Determined to join the front line of drug enforcement, Gerile arrives at the public security bureau only to discover that things are not as simple as she imagined: the front-line narcotics officers are unwilling to let a policewoman with little work experience "meddle" in their operations.
Assigned to an internal desk job, Gerile refuses to accept it and quietly works hard on her own. During one operation, her extraordinary sense of smell plays a crucial role: she discovers a clue to the drug dealers and captures them in one fell swoop. Show more
The narcotics unit finally recognizes Gerile's immense value. She earns the trust of the front-line officers through her abilities and at last becomes a front-line narcotics officer herself. Her extraordinary sense of smell helps her crack drug cases time and again. And Gerile becomes a thorn in the side of the drug lords.
Narcotics officers are the natural enemies of drug dealers, and working in drug enforcement means facing the constant threat of death. Bold and highly skilled, Gerile infiltrates drug syndicates many times, each time brushing past death.
But ultimately, during one operation, after infiltrating a drug syndicate, Gerile loses contact with the police, and the drug dealers brutally murder her.
The public extensively covered Gerile's deeds, but the process of her heroic sacrifice was never mentioned. Female journalist An Fei grows suspicious of these praise-filled reports and comes to the public security bureau to learn more about Gerile's situation. An Fei finds that the narcotics team members are neither welcoming nor cooperative, and many hidden truths simply cannot be "dug out."
An Fei decides to investigate every detail of Gerile's life. She discovers that Gerile had been deeply in love with a lounge singer named Fangfang, and that this singer was actually a fugitive wanted by the police…
As An Fei's investigation deepens, through a thorough understanding of the drug dealers captured by Gerile, the reason behind her murder gradually emerges.
The police can no longer conceal the truth and finally tell An Fei the real story of Gerile…
Edwin Siu joins forces with Asian Miss Belinda Hamnett to craft a tragedy woven with love and hate.
