Description:
Guohui joins Inspector Cao's team and works alongside squad members Sergeant Liu, Brother De, Huamei and the others. A month earlier, while Cao's unit was investigating a robbery at a finance company, a discrepancy between the cash on hand and the missing funds led to an internal investigation of the entire team, leaving everyone jumping at shadows on the job. Cao has lost heavily in investments and is deep in debt, so he trades inside information for money to pay it off. After several operations come up empty, suspicion begins to fall on Cao. Show more Sergeant Liu is a compulsive gambler, and the other team members distrust him, but Huamei is secretly in love with Liu and always speaks up in his defense. During a raid on an illegal off-track betting den, they accidentally capture the vicious criminal Fengwei, and Fengwei's elder brother Longtou is willing to pay a huge sum to free him. Guohui's father was killed by Longtou years ago, and when Sergeant Liu's informant learns of Longtou's whereabouts, the team moves in to surround him. Longtou shoots Huamei dead, but Guohui blinds him, and he ultimately escapes. Guohui goes on a date with his girlfriend Qiwen, and Longtou, seeking revenge for his blinded eye, lies in wait for Guohui and takes Qiwen hostage. Sergeant Liu suddenly appears, and Longtou and his thugs are all silenced. It turns out Cao only pretended to covet the huge sum and sell out Guohui, setting a trap to deal with Longtou, but Cao has already gone too far down the wrong path, and in the end he takes his own life with a gun.
